nx vinyl is a record shop located in the historic Cotton Gin building in downtown Norcross, Georgia, founded by Ron Orrell. Ron's passion for music began at age five, when his grandmother gifted him a Mickey Mouse record player and his first record, Rhinestone Cowboy by Glen Campbell. After a long career in insurance, he decided to pursue his love for records and opened nx vinyl in April of the previous year.

The shop has grown significantly, now offering around 10,000 records, 2,000 CDs, and 200 cassette tapes, all carefully handpicked by Ron. He ensures the records are in good condition, sometimes cleaning them before display. The store features dedicated rooms for different genres such as country, rock, jazz, and international/Latin music. Each room is decorated with vintage musical items and features a TV playing relevant music content.

nx vinyl also has a listening room where customers can test out records on high-quality equipment before making a purchase. Ron's goal is to create a community space where people can connect over their shared love of music. His dedication to this vision has been supported by local collectors and the community, making it a welcoming environment for music lovers. If you're ever in Norcross, be sure to visit NX Vinyl for a unique musical experience.
