Jazz In The Alley: Black & Gold Orchestra

 

The Black Gold Orchestra is a 19-piece big band based in Atlanta, Georgia. Founded in 2021 by Grammy-nominated producer, Larry Wilson, this band is an assembly of world class musicians, artists, and music educators. The collective resume of this ensemble boasts some of the biggest names in music and entertainment, like Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Prince, George Duke, Usher, Maxwell, Kurt Elling, and Jazzmeia Horn, just to name a few. Many of them have performed on Grammy-winning and nominated albums and hold various awards and acclamations to their respective names.

Jazz in the Alley is a live outdoor music concert series that features some of the best and talented jazz artist from Atlanta and surrounding cities. The concert was created to be a platform for all jazz artists for exposure in sharing their music to the cities of Georgia and to keep the art of jazz alive within our communities. Jazz in the Alley has become one of the most sought after jazz events held in Historic Downtown Norcross, GA. The annual summer series has gained local notoriety from artists and jazz enthusiast of all ages!

Experience jazz at its best as the jazz tunes take over Betty Mauldin Park located in Historic Downtown Norcross, GA from 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their picnic baskets, lawn chairs, savory snacks, and beverages. Also, local eateries and food trucks/vendors will be jazzing things up with some to-go chef specials that will help make Jazz in the Alley the perfect date night, family night, or a girl’s night out!
